Highly Recommended Jim Archer has been my insurance agent for nearly 30 years and I'm not an easy client. My requirement is 100% integrity in all business dealings. As you can imagaine, this is rarely achieved, but it is the brass ring to strive for. Jim Archer is one of only a small handful of business executives I have engaged over my lifetime that has never let me down. What does "let me down" even mean to me? It means "doing what you say, when you said you'd do it, with excellence." This one attribute is enormously important to me. No one is perfect so the next attribute is also vitally important to me: if such a person misses th mark for any reason (which is eventually inevitable) they call me and explain it and couple with it an explanation on how they are going to resolve the matter. Jim Archer knows how to do this and thankfully has had to do this very infrequently. That's it. Honesty, integrity, follow through. I couldn't ask for more in a business associate. Best Insurance Agent in town Jim Archer is the most knowledgeable and helpful insurance person that I have ever met. He not only always has time to help and answer questions, but he knows what he's talking about. As I look back over the years of our relationship, there are several things that really stand out. One is the fourth of July in 2004 when he spent the better part of the day helping me fill out an application for the Texas High Insurance Risk Pool for my husband. My husband was in the hospital and Jim was trying to help me make sure that he had continued coverage. And later I found out Jim received little or no commission from the Texas High Insurance Risk Pool. I believe he did it because he just wanted to help. Jim's knowledge and assistance with an HSA plan, when almost no one knew anyting about HSA plans, was outstanding. He was always ahead of the curve with his knowledge and information. And just this morning, after not speaking with Jim for a long time, he was still there to help. In our opinion Jim is the best in the business and it has been our honor to refer our friends and family to him. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone. He listened patiently while we discussed the needs for our family and what might help get the policy that was most beneficial. He was concerned that we get the best, what fit our plans as well as our pocketbook. He was extremely knowledgeable in all the policy differences, prompt to reply to my requests and detailed in answering all my questions. He never made me feel uncomfortable asking too many questions and walked me through step-by-step in the application process. In the past, I've had some agents push to a certain company and want to 'close the deal' quick and then I never got help from them again. I was skeptical this would be the same but it was exactly the opposite experience We have been very pleased with him as our consultant and feel confident I can ask him any question from here on and he'll be there to help. After all the questions and different plans we looked over, the application went smooth and we got a positive answer faster than we expected! A True Professional I met Jim through an association with my wife's Health Insurance plan at her office. Although at this writing, I have not met him in person, I can tell without a doubt that he is a man of integrity. There is so little of it around so you immediately recognize it in the (rare) instance that you experience it. He truly has an inate knowledge of all the insurance plans he offers and has gone out of his way to take care of our needs personally and professionally. best insurance agent I've known I have been self-employed for quite some time and it has been a chore every year to find and keep affordable and quality health insurance. If only I had found him years ago. He is the most helpful and giving person and has so much more knowledge about these health insurance products than most agents. He also is up-to-date on HSAs and the new healthcare law. I just signed up with a new company and my policy is virtually the same, if not better than it was, and my monthly premium cost is almost cut in half. I am 100% assured that he operates out of integrity and concern for his clients, no matter what he makes on selling the product. In the fall of 2009, when we wanted to get some inexpensive, quality short term health insurance for our son, who was in a temporary job with no health benefits, Jim Archer was the first to respond to our search on Google. From the first conversation, we knew we had found an insurance agent who was very knowledgeable, patient with our questions, and wise in his advice of what coverage we needed for our son. Fast forward to March 2011 (ed: his temporary insurance was expiring) when our otherwise very physically fit son was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumor which would require surgery and chemo treatments later, Jim Archer guided us through the application process so that we could get health insurance with the TX Health Insurance Pool. Again, his wisdom, knowledge of this particular type of insurance, and kindness and concern for our son and us helped us deal with not only the major surgery but also the treatments which followed, knowing that we had excellent health coverage. When we have questions, he always answers our e-mails quickly and thoroughly. His calm manner has helped us when we have had questions about the world of health insurance and medical facilities filing claims.
